Knitting Projects I Loved Making: Day 2

Loom Knitted Christmas Hat

I had to make myself a Santa hat for holidays and so I created this pattern which wasn't hard. I decided to knit 20 rounds and then fold the ends over the loom to create the brim with white yarn and then I kept knitting for about six rounds in red and I decided to purl a few rounds for a bit of texture.

I wanted a slouchy hat, because I have a lot of hair and mosttimes I wear it up or in a ponytail so this type of hat works best for me. I knitted the remainder of the hat until I got the length I wanted.

The tassel was the last thing I added which I did in white but I cut some strands of red yarn to tie it together. I don't know what kind of yarn I used because it was gifted to me and there was no label, but it was nice to work with. I used the largest adult size loom for this hat and soon after I graduated from my Boye loom knitting set to the Knifty Knitter set. Stay tuned for Day 3 of knitting projects I had fun making!
