Vanilla Choco Crochet Baby Girl DressFriday, July 15, 2016
Whoo! I finally got this post up! I should have posted this months ago because actually, the dress was finished four months ago! But my work schedule has been super crazy busy and I must also admit...I was too lazy to take any pics sooner (and these aren't the best - taken with my iPad and a little color correcting). This is the last of my "Too Cute" Crochet Baby Girl Dresses collection for awhile. I'm focusing my attentions on making items for this year's Christmas bazaar that my church Women's ministry puts on. Items we make we sell to support us and this year's theme is "Deck the Walls" so we're making home decor items like: place mats, dishcloths, pillows and pillowcases. My list is pretty long!
Anyhoo, since this is the last crochet girl dress I'll be making for awhile, let's talk about it. This is a cute sundress that I used Lion Brand's Landscapes in sand dune color as well as Simply Soft Caron yarns to make. I love the ombre effect and it was fun crocheting this dress and watching the colors changing, but also blending so well together. Landscapes is a great line of yarns that come in some pretty colors.
The pattern is a combination of triple and half double crochets. I wanted to do a different edging so I crocheted the last round in the Simply Soft Caron and decided to crochet a picot edging. I skipped several stitches and put the picots on the corners around the skirt. I really like how it turned out. I love the flair look of the cute dress!
The size of the dress fits up to 3 months and it's for sale in my Etsy shop for $25. You can find it and all my crochet baby dresses here.
