Craving Cesar Salad

I grew up loving salads, my mom always had them on the side for our dinners. There were times where that's all I ate for a meal. There's a method to a good, tasty salad and that's having the best, fresh ingredients as possible. Recently, I have been craving a good Caesar salad, it's one of my favorites. The only ingredients I don't add are eggs and anchovies, but nonetheless it's still a delicious meal to me.

The most important part is the lettuce. I have a delicate system so when I buy lettuce, I have to make sure it's the freshest I can find.

You can make your own dressing and pour over your lettuce and croutons OR you can buy your favorite Caesar salad dressing. I like Ken's Steak House Creamy Caesar Salad dressing. Add chicken if you like to make it a meal on its own.

Ken's Steak House Caesar Salad DressingIngredients:
  • 3/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1-2 tbsp. minced onion (I like Vidalia onions)
  • 1 tsp. sea salt 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
  • Caesar Salad croutons
Combine first nine ingredients in a jar and shake well. Refrigerate overnight. Toss with 1 head of romaine lettuce, torn. Add Caesar salad croutons. Mix well and serve. ENJOY!
