My Bible Art Journaling

Distress ink supplies

You know I've been doing bible art journaling for a little while but this is the first time I'm written about it. Not sure why because it is a very big part of my helping me build my faith in Jesus. I've doodled and played with drawing comic books when I was little but I'm far from a painter! LOL! However, that said I love playing around with ink pads and color. And what better way to experiment with them in my Bible art journal. This is the one I purchased from Amazon - My Creative Bible KJV: Silken Flexcover Bible for Creative Journaling.

My Creative Bible

I really like this bible and the some of the pages are blank while others have a drawing like you'd find in an adult coloring book. The images are great for me because sometimes I need a little help to be creative! But also, I have another journal that I use for art. And typically the first thing I love to do is distress the pages because I really like the old time newspapers so I rub the edges of my paper with the ink before I do any other coloring.

These are some of the supplies that I use with my ink pads are Mini Ink Blending Tools (these are the 1" round) and smear the ink on my paper giving it a grunge, distressed, or watercolor look.

Other supplies I love to use to make verses come alive are stickers like this brand from Amazon. I also dabble a lot with rubber and clear stamp collections. They help a non-artist artist like me. I find bible art journaling relaxing as I'm studying and praying.

If you're interested in buying the distress ink mini bundle that I use, here's the link and description below. If you order it or the stickers, I'll get a commission from Amazon. Thanks so much!
