I No Longer Want to be a Plus Girl

February 17, 2018

2X/3X, yep that was me! I was miserable looking at myself in the mirror and all from eating bad. Good News! It has all changed and as of today, I've dropped another inch off my waist and I'm no longer even 1X! YAY!!!!! I can't tell you how happy I am and how much better I feel. My pants are all too big now and one of them I had to put a huge safety pin in them so I could wear them to exercise in. Lovin' it!

If you've been reading "My Journey to a Healthier Me", then you know my goal with walking and changing my diet has been really simple...WALK, MOVE. It doesn't matter to me how many laps I do everyday as long as I just walk. Knowing I had my work cut out for me, I really didn't want to put any extra pressure on myself. I'll be happy if I can drop down to a size 16. Really happy. Did I say really happy? Yeah, really happy. We will see, it will take some time but I'm all in!

Today for example, I wasn't feeling as energetic so instead of my daily 40 laps, I walked only 25. Still my pedometer said I burned off 223 calories and as long as I show results, that's the key. Also, I'm drinking more water consistently everyday, something I rarely did before. And, drinking it straight with no additives.

Now, before I end this short post, let me say that I have nothing, and I mean nothing, against plus sizes. I'm only talking from a place where I began to have physical problems with my weight that I had to address. Not every girl can be a size 2 nor should she. We need to be who God made us and love ourselves and try to be as healthy as we can be. After all, no one lives in your body but you.

Thanks for coming along on my journey with me!
